A solution-focused approach to the challenges in your life.
Is stress or anxiety holding you back, making you irritable and stopping you from being the person you want to be?
Are thoughts about the past or concerns about the future overwhelming you? Is life getting on top of you or are you feeling low?
We can work together to equip you with tools you can use in the here and now as well as exploring the root cause of what's holding you back.
I can work with you to:
When you are a busy person it can feel difficult to fit in one more thing, but continuing to "push through" can be counterproductive, leading to high blood pressure and burnout. Engaging with a counsellor can help you to create space to process the past, find some calm in the here and now and learn coping techniques for the future.
I work face-to-face from offices in Lisburn, County Antrim. My therapy room is located a short distance from the motorway, making it easy to access from the greater Belfast area. I also offer online therapy, saving you the time and costs involved with travelling to sessions. I have flexible appointment times including early morning, afternoon and evening slots to fit around your current commitments.
I am a fully qualified integrative therapist/counsellor, so I blend a range of approaches (person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic) to offer therapy that helps to get the best results for you. I am registered with the BACP, ACC and the NCPS.
My therapy room is based in Northern Ireland but I provide counselling all across the UK and Ireland from Bristol to Belfast, Hillsborough to the Highlands of Scotland, Cork to County Antrim.

How much does therapy cost and how often does it take place?
Sessions typically take place once a week and cost £55 for a 50-minute session before 5pm and £60 for sessions starting at 5pm or later.
I use an online booking system which allows clients to pick their own appointment slots and offers flexibility in the frequency of sessions. You can use this link to view session availability: www.calendly.com/cwkrisy
What do I need to be able to do counselling online?
You will need a laptop, computer or tablet with a camera and a microphone and a stable internet connection. It is essential that you are in a private space where you won’t be interrupted or overheard during the sessions.
What is important for therapy to work?
The relationship between the client and the counsellor is most important for therapy to be effective.
With that in mind, I prioritise being a “good fit” for you. Do you want to be challenged or have space to reflect? Do you want to work towards specific goals or to explore what’s going on for you? Not sure? That’s okay! We can find out together what works best for you.
Do you work face-to-face as well as online?
Yes, I use offices located in Vic Ryn, just off the Moira Road in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, to see clients who prefer to meet face-to-face.
